História:

In the first decades of the twentieth century, soccer was gaining more fans in Mexico. It is in this context that the young people Rafael Garza Gutiérrez and Germán Núñes Cortina decided to form their respective teams that disputed their departures, mainly, in the courtyards of the Catholic schools. On October 12, 1916, both of them decided to unite the two clubs, beginning the history of Club America, in Mexico City.

After the professionalization of the national soccer in 1943, America emerged as one of the main clubs of the country, having won until the first semester of 2013, eleven Mexican Championship titles, five Mexican Cups and five Mexican Super Cups. However, the feats of the "Eagles" even contemplate the continental competitions. Next to Cruz Azul, he is the biggest winner of the CONCACAF Champions League with five titles. He also won two Inter-American Cups, behind only Independiente (ARG). The Americanistas also made good campaigns in the Copa Libertadores of America, having reached three semifinals, and in the South American Cup, with a runner-up. Since 1959, the club belongs to Televisa, a great vehicle of communication of Mexico.

Owner of one of the biggest fans of the world, America sends its games in the Azteca Stadium, with capacity for 104 thousand spectators. At home, he acts in a yellow shirt with blue and red details. The "Away Kit" is predominantly blue. The shield features a ball-shaped globe, highlighting the entire American continent and the initials "C" and "A" in red. In the titular shirt, the shield brings the blue background, with the continent in yellow. In the reserve shirt, the bottom is yellow and the continent is blue.
