História:
The Clube de Regatas Brasil, popularly known as CRB, was founded by a group of young people from the city of Maceió, the capital of Alagoas, on September 20, 1912. The new club's initial activities were focused on rowing, but it also has a strong tradition in volleyball. The club's strength in football was only proven in 1927 when the first Campeonato Alagoano was held, which CRB won, with CSA, which would become its biggest rival, finishing as runner-up.
Over the years, the Galo da Pajuçara (the rooster is CRB's mascot and Pajuçara is a traditional neighborhood in Maceió where the club was founded) established itself as one of the major powers in Alagoas football, having won 27 state titles by 2013 – second only to CSA, with 37. On the regional level, CRB won the Torneio José Américo de Almeida Filho (the precursor to the Copa do Nordeste) in 1975 by defeating Botafogo-PB in a penalty shootout.
As hosts, CRB typically plays at the Estádio Severiano Gomes Filho. At home, they wear red shirts, shorts, and socks. White is usually the predominant color in the away kit. Regarding the club badge, the CRB website explains that it is formed by an emblem with a white background and bordered in red. The two red intersecting stripes at the top refer to the club's flag. At the bottom, the red letters of the CRB acronym follow the shape of the shield.
